At Providence Health & Services, Kim brings great experience from her roles at Swedish Health Services as Vice President for Patient Access and Service Line and in the Strategic Planning and Project Management division.  Specifically she oversaw the Swedish Heart and Vascular Institute, which includes strategic/capital planning and program implementation. This role spans across the Swedish system and also includes working within the larger Swedish-Providence affiliation groups within Clinical Program Services. Nicholson also works within Patient Access and created the first in-sourced “Access Center” where patients and referring physicians can have a concierge-like experience getting into see a provider at Swedish.

Prior to Swedish, Kim worked for VISICU (Philips) for over 4 years. In this role she led clinical transformation and program development utilizing tele-health applications (eICU). Nicholson was the primary account contact for several of their largest partners including: Sutter Health, Memorial Hermann, Avera, and St. Luke’s Health System.

In September 2011, Nicholson was chosen as one of the Puget Sound Business Journal's "40 under 40." Nicholson earned her Bachelors of Science in Psychology – from Colorado State University and Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA) and Certificate in Informatics from University of Washington.
